Nestled along the Blue Ridge Mountains in Northern Virginia, this 19th century home certainly has views to please. When designer Lois Kennedy of Portfolio Kitchens was asked to revamp the kitchen, she designed a space that is equally as inviting as the alluring outdoor vistas!
The entire space is fully customized with different styles and finish applications that complement the charming and elegant character of the colonial-aged farmhouse. Native wood species, such as American Cherry and Red Maple dress the cabinetry, paying homage to the surrounding Appalachian Forest.
The kitchen is as functional as it is striking. A gorgeous La Cornue range, a fully customized hood and wine storage can all be seen at first glance. Appliances such as multiple dishwashers, an automated lift-up mixer, and multiple trash receptacles are just a few of the built-in, hidden amenities. An island with seating for four has buffet tables flanking each end, which makes entertaining a mountain breeze!
