Lois Kennedy of Portfolio Kitchens has been designing highly detailed kitchens since 1990. Her “dream to reality” designs bring together a wide range of materials, finishes, and applications in a unique and often unforgettable design.
Her delighted clients aren’t the only people to find her work unforgettable. The following kitchen was designed and crafted in 2005 and was featured in a 2012 issue of Dream Kitchens and Baths and a 2013 issue of Tuscan Style.
The hood is a stand-alone masterpiece, incorporating butternut and weathered metals. On the perimeter, she specified both butternut and Cloister painted cabinetry. Custom center panels and door applications make nearly every cabinet unique. The multi-purpose island, separated into three sections, works great for casual dinners, food prep, and entertaining.
A portion of Lois’ website reads, “The big picture is important, but it’s the details that distinguish between a passing fad and the timeless, good taste of classic design.” Lois demonstrates this with the project featured here.
