A gasket is mounted to a stainless pan, which is attached to the face of the cabinet. This creates a seal to the back of the door/drawer when closed. A trough in the gasket channels water away from the cabinet case. Like a car door, the gasket keeps the cabinet interior completely dry and free from insects and other outdoor pests.
