Manual Machinist

Tru Metal, a division of Premier Custom Built, provides machining, fabricating, and assembly of custom metal products to our core cabinet business. We pride ourselves on delivering top-notch craftsmanship and innovative solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Manual Machinist to join our team and contribute to our continued success. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating manual equipment to create custom parts based on blueprints, sketches, and specifications. Your work will be crucial in ensuring that each component meets the highest standards of accuracy and quality.

Main Functions
  • Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce custom metal parts.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine machining processes and specifications.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures to achieve desired results.
  • Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to optimize performance, accuracy, and quality.
  • Perform quality control checks on finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machines, tooling, and processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and follow safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to meet project deadlines and client requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines as needed.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining is a plus.
  • Proven experience and proficiency in setup and operation of manual machines.
  • Strong knowledge of machining principles, metalworking techniques, and tooling.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for CNC programming is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Project Manager

As a Project Manager at Premier Custom Built, you will work closely with designers, installers, and our production team to bring custom cabinetry projects to life. Your role will focus on managing the design and production, and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget. You will utilize advanced 3D design systems to create detailed build drawings, while maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders involved in the project.

Main Functions
  • Collaborate with designers to create and refine 3D cabinetry designs that align with client specifications.

  • Produce accurate build drawings for custom cabinetry production using industry-leading 3D drawing systems.

  • Act as the central point of contact between designers, installers, and the production team, ensuring smooth communication and project execution.

  • Ensure that all custom cabinetry meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship

  • Proven experience in kitchen design and custom cabinetry build.

  • Strong proficiency with 3D design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, or similar tools).

  • Experience in managing projects from initial design to final installation, with a focus on luxury residential projects

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in high-end residential cabinetry or furniture manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of industry trends, materials, and fabrication techniques.

Woodworker

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Woodworker Craftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine woodworking, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to producing exceptional quality work. This role involves working with a variety of materials and tools to build custom cabinetry and furniture pieces according to precise specifications.

Main Functions
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials
  • Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
