Hardware Technician
Premier Custom-Built Cabinetry, a lead in luxury residential cabinetry is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hardware Technician to join our team. Machine Shop Leader/Steward
Tru Metal, a division of Premier Custom Built, provides machining, fabricating, and assembly of custom metal products to our core cabinet business. We pride ourselves on delivering top-notch craftsmanship and innovative solutions. Position Overview: We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Machine Shop Leader/Steward to guide our Metal Department operations. This individual will bring a strong background as a machinist, a sharp eye for detail, and proven leadership skills to support our team and help take our production capabilities to the next level.
Main Functions
- Lead and support day-to-day operations of the Machine Shop within the Metal Department.
- Oversee and work as part of a team of skilled machinists and welders.
- Manage workflow, prioritize projects, and ensure timely delivery of precision components.
- Operate and maintain manual machining equipment.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to interpret blueprints and develop solutions.
- Ensure quality control standards are met or exceeded.
- Champion a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Continuously evaluate and improve shop processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a machinist, with strong working knowledge of both manual machinery.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
- Deep understanding of metal fabrication, machining techniques, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and CAD files.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
