Finish Sprayer

Are you a detail-driven finisher with a passion for craftsmanship? Do you thrive in an artistic, hands-on environment where no two projects are the same? Premier Custom-Build Cabinetry, a leading in high-end residential cabinetry manufacturing, is looking for a talented Finish Sprayer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in wood finishing -- or someone with an automotive refinishing background looking to transition into the world of luxury custom cabinetry. At Premier, we specialize in creating unique, custom finishes for each project, making this a perfect fit for a creative and energetic individual who takes pride in their work.

Main Functions
  • Apply a variety of finishes including topcoats, stains, sealers, glazes, and automotive base coats.
  • Perform all finishing tasks including sanding, sealing, staining, glazing, top coating, and buffing.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain the highest standards of quality.
  • Contribute artistic input into custom finish processes.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of finishing experience with demonstrated spray technique.
  • Background in either wood or automotive refinishing is strongly preferred.
  • Self-starter who works well independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Machinist

Tru Metal, a division of Premier Custom Built, provides machining, fabricating, and assembly of custom metal products to our core cabinet business. We pride ourselves on delivering top-notch craftsmanship and innovative solutions. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Manual Machinist to join our team and contribute to our continued success. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating manual equipment to create custom parts based on blueprints, sketches, and specifications. Your work will be crucial in ensuring that each component meets the highest standards of accuracy and quality.

Main Functions
  • Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce custom metal parts
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine matching processes and specifications
  • Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures to achieve desired results
  • Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to optimize performance, accuracy, and quality
  • Perform quality control checks on finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machines, tooling, and processes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and follow safety protocols
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to meet project deadlines and client requirements
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines as needed
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining is a plus
  • Proven experience and proficiency in setup and operation of manual machines
  • Strong knowledge of machining principles, metalworking techniques, and tooling
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for CNC programming is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for extended periods

Team Leader - Finishing

At Premier Custom-Built, we specialize in luxury, one-of-a-kind custom cabinetry crafted to the highest standards. Our commitment to quality, innovation, and precision has made us a leader in the industry. We are currently seeking a driven and experienced Team Leader for our Finishing Department to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure every piece that leaves the shop meets our exacting standards. The Team Leader - Finishing is responsible for managing all finishing operations, including staining, painting, sealing, and top coating. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage workflow, lead a team of skilled finishers, and maintain consistent quality throughout the department.

Main Functions
  • Lead, train, and mentor the finishing team to achieve production and quality goals.
  • Oversee scheduling and corrdination of daily operations in the finishing department.
  • Ensure proper preparation and application of finishes, including stains, glazes, paints, and clear coats.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Work collaboratively with production and design teams to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Monitor inventory leveles and corrdinate supply needs.
  • Implement and maintain quality control process.
  • Troubleshoot finishing issues and provide solutions.
Job Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in custom cabinetry finishing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of wood finishing techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and foster a positive team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong Focus on craftsmanship and quality.
Preferred
  • Experience in a high-end custom cabinet shop environment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes.
